Idaho Photos | Family Photographer

Whoa!!  Boy has it been a crazy busy summer.

Swim lessons.  Trips to visit family.  A new baby on the way (Morning sickness, anyone?  Bleh!).

But I am finally getting back to sharing a few photos with y’all.

This is my baby brother…who isn’t such a baby anymore at all.  In fact, he has this totally adorable family!

Hehe!  He was being soooo sneaky.

This here little lady is one of my kid’s favorite people.

Gah!  I love this family.  It is wonderful getting to spend lots of time with them whenever we visit Idaho.  I can’t get enough of them!

Expecting Warr | Albuquerque Maternity Photographer

Friday, February 10th, 2012

I had a fantastic week!!

My sister brought her little girl and came for a visit.

Ah, what good times we had!

We laughed, we cried…  Okay, well the only crying was from me…when she left.

But while she was here, she hired me to do some maternity portraits for her.

I think I’ve mentioned before that I LOVE photographing my sister.  Not only is she gorgeous (you surely remember seeing her at her beautiful wedding?) but we have such a blast!   She’s beautiful, fun, quirky, and downright hilarious.

Ahhhh, hello baby bump.

We had to bribe her current Little Miss with a trip to the park for some fun.

Which made her slightly more cooperative.  LOVE this one!

Bumpity bump, bump, bump.

This is her getting down with a little funky chicken.

Seriously!  She makes me laugh so hard.

We were literally wiping tears from our eyes at one point and had to take a break to regain our composure.

Sweet and sassy.

Admission: I’ve always been so jealous of my sister’s freckles.

I know, I know, people with freckles don’t usually enjoy them.

But I suppose the grass is greener…

Check out this gorgeousness!!

I’ve also put a slideshow together of this maternity goodness.  You’re going to want to check it out, I put some of my favorite images in there!

One Year Portrait, Sneak Peek [Albuqueruqe Child Photographer]

Monday, November 21st, 2011

I chased Lil’ Miss around all morning for part one of her one year portraits.

It was exhausting.

A good workout.

(Seriously, I’m sweating.)

But it’s totally going to be worth it in the end…as portraits always are.

Just a little sneak peek for now.

A sneaky, sneaky, sneak peek.

It’s Early. [Albuquerque Children Photographer]

Tuesday, November 15th, 2011

It’s morning.  The sun is slowly rising, beginning to brighten the dark, night sky.

The edge of my consciousness registers a bright, chirpy sound coming from the other room and I know that my son is awake.  I stretch a bit, longing to stay in the warm security of my bed.

I rise slowly.  I stretch once more, take a deep breath, and fumble for my glasses.  I make my way to my son, suddenly eager to see him and say good morning.

He’s sitting on the floor, lost in contemplation.  I notice that the barely bright light is already streaming in through the back doors, lighting him up. He is playing with his sister’s new toy.  The cheery sounds from the object seem unusually loud in the early morning quiet. I can tell he’s still tired, still half asleep as he pokes at the little plane, allowing it to entertain him.

He looks so peaceful.  So contented.  It’s one of those moment.  You know, the ones you know that you will someday long for even as you live them?

And so I capture it.

And then he discovers me.  A smile spreads across his face and I can feel my expression instantly mirroring his.

“Oooh!  Morn’, momma!”

Yes.  It is a good morning.

Happy Halloween [Albuquerque Photographer]

Monday, October 31st, 2011

I love Halloween!

I love the excitement.

I love how it brings imagination to life.

I love that we get to pretend we’re somebody else.

I love that we get to have oodles and gobs of candy.

And I love that I have a great excuse to take my kiddos out for a few photos.

Every year I have a lot of fun putting together costumes for my little goobers and this year was no exception.

A little William Wallace anybody?

Peter and Tink.

I know, you can call me crazy but I love dressing up too.   As a kid, my mom used to dress up every Halloween and I always thought it was so amazing that she would join in the fun with us.

So  Happy Halloween from our family to yours.  I hope you have a spooktacular day!!
