This last month our Lil’ Miss turned 2 years old.
She is sweet and sassy and amazing. Dramatic. Loveable.
Such a happy two years it has been! We are so grateful to have this Lil’ Miss in our family!

The H family goes to church with me. They are some of my favorite people there and I was so happy to do a few family portraits for them.
I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous. They have a pretty large family and I wasn’t sure how it would go. But I must say their kids were some of the most well behaved, easy to manage kids that I’ve ever had. I would photograph them all again in a heartbeat!
What a beautiful, wonderful couple!
And their kids:
Unfortunately, there’s one missing because he’s serving a mission for church.
But just check out these great looking kids:
This little one right here, she’s my pal. She always comes up and gives me hugs – it makes me feel like awesome sauce.
The girls wanted a picture of just them to put up.
How sweet is that?
H Family, you are perfect and lovely! Thanks for spending a wonderful evening with me!
This last month, my Little Man turned 4 years old.
He was so excited for his birthday. In fact, he still insists that it IS his birthday.
This week I was finally able to get a few portraits of my big 4 year old.
This is how his portraits started off:
Oh yeah! This kid’s got the moves. But he actually isn’t dancing, he was showing me how to attack bad guys.
This kiddo definitely has his sweet moments.
But he’s much more often just ready for some fun.
And he was definitely going to have fun with mom if she wanted to get a few pictures:
Goofball.
He was begging me for ice cream so we stopped for a little fro-yo.
Yes, I know that his pants are quite short.
Now I can forever remember him at this stage where he growing so tall, but not wide enough to remotely fit in the next size up.
A little more fun with mom:
This is what happens when I tell him to let me see those beautiful blue eyes.
And then we engaged in a few rounds of “attack!”
Overall, I had a great evening with my Little Man!
He is so full of life and spunk.
He loves a good laugh and being silly.
He gives kisses and squeezes generously.
He thinks that everything happened “last week.”
He is crazy about video games and super heroes.
And he is just such a GREAT kid!!
I love this little goober!
This is not my typical photo session.
But it would definitely rank among my favorites.
This is what is known as a lifestyle session. Pretty much a day-in-the-life-of.
I loved it!
It was so relaxed and laid back. I merely observed and recorded the happenings.
Meet Gentry.
He just woke up.
This is his big sister, Cori. She’s getting ready for the day by drinking some chocolate milk.
They spend a little time together.
Check out Gentry’s little toes.
He is one handsome little guy!
Gah! The cheeks! Love me some baby cheeks!
Before long, it’s time for a bath. Cori supervises momma to make sure it’s done right.
Mmmm….can you smell the clean newborn smell?
Oh my! What curly hair you have!
Momma gets little man ready, while sister twirls his hair.
Apparently, this is one of the things she loves about baby. She will endlessly twirl his hair in her fingers.
Breakfast time!
*sigh* I’m feeling a tad baby hungry right now.
This little guy is an urper. There’s no doubt about that!
This is one of my favorites.
Mom burping baby.
Gentry satisfied.
Cori twirling hair while she watches tv and sips her milk.
He was so happy he dozed off.
Just a quiet morning.
Hello, handsome.
He chills and kicks for a bit.
Before settling in for his morning nap.
(Did you notice the hair twirl?)
Good job, momma. You look gorgeous and you have two uber cute kiddos to boot!
As I said, I loved this session. I may have to find a way to incorporate more lifestyle sessions into my schedule. Thanks for letting me spend the morning hanging out with you!
